Just a bit of feedback here:
My initial thought and expectation was, that the script would just migrate the data from the old table to the new table. I have on a clean J5 installation restored the image files and imported the old J3 tables.
Adding the joomgallery.xml file would actually be the simplest option from where I was. Likely once I will make the final migration before going live, I will use this option.

Whoa....
Ok, I might have misunderstood the situation. So the J4 script is looking for a Joomgallery 3x component which is installed at the same location? I am not even sure that would be possible in my case. So the fix here was to run a backup of my old Joomla3.9 web and tell the J4 script to use the backup's DB and folder locations as source.
So the migration worked partially. This is a dry run on my test server so will still have to fix a few issues later on. Thanks for the help, you…

Negative. I am on Joomgallery 3.4. As my version of Joomgallery is quite modified to facilitate certain features I needed, it is not really possible for me to update versions without making all the modifications again. So the plan was to upgrade from 3.4 directly onto a version that runs on J5.
I assume, I will have to somehow run an upgrade from 3.4 into 3.7, but if that fails, I seem to be out of simple options.

I have tried on a clean install where the component was installed without any issues. It has cleared out the 2nd error, but I still fail on the Source extension compatibility.
Now - could that be caused by the fact that my old Joomgallery had some extra columns in the joomgallery table which are now the issue? If yes, would removing the columns from the old table fix this issue or do I need to modify the migration script?

I am trying to complete the migration of images from my old J3 site. So far managed to sort out all issues, but no idea what are these two.
Hope someone can point me in the right direction.

PHP 8.3. As mentioned 4.0.1 is installed.
It seems the issue is the copy of my Joomla site, which is a conversion from J3 into J5. I had to fix the assets table, then install the Joomgallery again (fixed some issues) and then again... Still didn't create the DB tables.
However it went smooth on a clean J5 installation and I moved the tables from there so right now it seems all to work, trying out the migration script once I have some other things sorted out.

Hi folks,
I finally have time to work on my site and so happy there is a stable release. I am trying to get it running on my local machine, Win11 and Wamp64. Joomla is 5.3.0. No other specific components to cause any issues installed.
Unfortunately, getting a lot of errors both installing and uninstalling. After running install, I got in whole of admin the same error which looked like this. I couldn't access any admin page
In order to regain access to my admin panel, I copied the admin…
