Create Category menu item do not exist anymore for a very long time. I recommend you to deinstall JoomGallery and then reinstall it using the zip of this RC version.

Looks to me like a permission problem. Make sure the golders are writable to the Joomla system.

Das JoomBu (Button Plugin), sowie das JoomPlu (Content Plugin) aus der Version 3 funktionieren beide unter Joomla! 4 und neuer nicht mehr. Genau so wie die JoomGallery Komponente der Version 3.x im neuen Joomla! auch nicht mehr läuft. Auf einer Joomla! 6 Installation muss somit die JoomGallery Komponente in der Version 4.x vorhanden sein. To be honest, if you are overwhelmed with the problems created by these few images, I recommend just to delete them in your JG3 and then reupload them again after migration in JG4. The time we would need to figure out what exactly causes the migration to break exceeds the time needed to just reupload them again later.

Manual repair means, you completely migrate the corrupted item by hand and then mark it as successful. Therefore you would need to perfrom the actions normally done automatically by the script in the database and in the filesystem by hand.

Yes, pk is primary key which corresponds to id in JoomGallery. With manual repair, you can override the state of one specific migrateable (e.g an image). This way you can make it to pending state or to successful state. This way you can make the migration skip or retry this specific migrateable so you can fix the corresponding files and database entries by hand in the database or filesystem.

Das war einer der grossen Nachteile der JoomGallery 3 und der Hauptgrund, warum man die JoomGallery früher nicht für professionelle Projekte verwenden konnte.

So wie auf dem Bild kann es nicht funktionieren. Dein Ziel (J5, JG4) und deine Quelle (J3, JG3) müssen auf dem gleichen Server sein. Dann gibst du jeweils die Pfade zum Joomla root und zu den Bildverzeichnissen an. Aufgepasst Unter Linux sieht der Joomla root Pfade etwa so aus: /var/www/html/meinewebseite/ Unter Windows sieht er etwa so aus: C:\xampp\htdocs\meinewebseite\ Der Desktop kann nicht dein Joomla root sein, da der Desktop kein webserver ist.

Wie ihr seht, habe ich das Issue mit prio-high gekennzeichnet. Das heisst, sobald ich dazu komme, werde ich mich dem Problem annehmen. Das Problem ist jedoch nicht trivial zu lösen. Ich könnte es natürlich so machen, wie die JoomGallery 3 und die Berecvhtigungen einfach gar nicht prüfen. Das wäre schneller, aber halt auch nicht sicher.

Joomla!-Pfad ist der Pfad zum root Verzeichnis deiner Joomla 3 Installation. Ist denn dein Joomla 3 auf einem lokalen webserver unter Windows?

Yes, it will probably only work when compatibility mode is activated in the component configs and Use new folder structure is deactivated in the migration options (step 1). In order to use the new folder structure you would need to run the migration preparation functions in the JG3.7.x maintenance manager, to prepare the folders and aliases of the old JoomGallery. Apparently this is not possible without a running JG 3.7.x.

You can try migrating directly from 3.3.4 on your own risk. We never tested that before. In case you wanna try anyway, just open the joomgallery.xml file in the administrator folder of the compinent and exchange the version number in there to 3.7.1. Then the precheck will pass. But as I said - on your own risk...

I recommend you to install a temporary Joomla 3.10 next to your official Joomla and copy the JoomGallery content there (DB+Filesystem). Then update your JoomGallery to 3.7.1 there. After that use this temporary Joomla 3.10 with JG 3.7.1 as your source. Everything else I dont recommend without good knowledge in PHP and SQL.

Ich empfehle dir die JG3.3.4 erst auf die neuste JG3.x version zu aktualisieren vor der Migration. Du kannst ja temporär eine Joomla 3.10 installieren, um diese updates zu machen.

JoomGallery is not freeware, its opensource. Thats a huge difference!
