JoomGallery 4.2.0 installed, displaying as 4.1.0 in JoomGallery Control Panel, System => Database

    After installing JoomGallery 4.2.0 on my sites, I had an error about Database issues for JoomGallery in the Joomla Database. After I ran the repair, I am noticing that Joomla lists v4.1.0 being installed instead in two places:

    - The JoomGallery Control Panel

    - System => Maintenance => Database (Manifest Version is listed as 4.1.0, DB is listed as 4.2.0)

    Nothing seems broken or affected, but "repairing" the Database changes the version installed to be listed as 4.1.0, instead of 4.2.0 (which was correct after the install itself happened).

    I did the "Update Structure" for the Joomla DB on a test site, my live site has not been changed, if you need comparisons.

    That's very strange. I would like to find out why the update didn't run correctly for you.
    It looks as though the files have not been updated correctly, which is why JoomGallery version 4.1.0 is still being displayed in the Joomla! backend.
    - Did you receive any error messages during the update?
    - Did you upload the zip file yourself using Joomla's extension manager or did you use Joomla's auto-update feature?

    Please check the following now:
    Which files are stored currently in the folder administrator/components/com_joomgallery/sql/updates/mysql ?
    If there are only two files, '4.0.0.sql' and '4.1.0.sql':
    - Install JG 4.2.0 over the already installed version by uploading the zip file via Joomla's Extension Manager.
    Are any errors displayed during this process?

    No error messages were received. The extension was updated using the Joomla Extension Manager.

    Unfortunately, I did the same update Reni did, and both my test and live site are reporting 4.2.0 correctly now, so I can't go back and verify the issue. To summarize:

    • 4.1.1 was installed
    • Updated 4.2.0 using the Extension Manager
    • DB & Manifest listed 4.2.0 installed, but Database showed structure issues
    • Ran repair of database, now the Manifest version is listed as 4.1.0, even though the database is listed as 4.2.0
    • Re-ran update of extension via Extension Manager
    • Now both DB version and Manifest listed as 4.2.0, no further issues
