Modules Are Painfully Slow To Load

    I just moved to a new server with plenty of ram. I've got "Use Real Paths" set to "No" so I can protect the images and have a hit counter but the site is very slow. I have determined the issue is with the JoomImages and JoomCategories modules. The more images that are displayed in these modules, the slower the site becomes. Even with a minimal number of images (1.5 MB), the site is still too slow with load times between 10-15 seconds.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    Any suggestions on how to speed things up while keeping all of the functionality?

    A CDN does not help enough. Caching does not appear to do anything.

    I've been using this extension for a bunch of years and I think it's always been this slow. I'm just finally trying to improve my seo and fix any issues and I can't get past this.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
